We collect limited information to operate Cripptic: newsletter/waitlist submissions (email address), technical usage data from analytics providers, and gameplay/session data needed to run interactive cases.
2. Cookies And Local Session Data
Interactive case routes set an HTTP-only cookie namedcase_run_session_[slug] so we can restore your run state and score. This cookie is functional, not advertising, and is currently set with a 30-day max age.
3. Newsletter/Waitlist Data
When you submit the newsletter form, we send your email to our form processor and may include request metadata (IP, user-agent, and referrer) for abuse prevention and source attribution.
4. Analytics And Hosting Providers
We use Vercel Analytics and infrastructure providers to host and monitor the site. These providers may process request-level data such as page views, timestamps, browser/device information, and approximate location.
5. How We Use Information
We use data to provide and improve the service, secure the app, understand usage patterns, and send updates to users who opted into the waitlist/newsletter.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with service providers needed to operate Cripptic (for example hosting, analytics, and form processing).
